YouFoldr is a calm, relationship focused CRM for iPhone. It helps you remember the people who matter: who you know, when you met, what was said, and what you intend to do next. That information is personal, so protecting it is the most important part of how we build the product. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

YouFoldr (referred to here as YouFoldr, we, us, or our) provides the YouFoldr mobile application and related services. The data controller responsible for your information is [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. If you have any question about this policy, contact us at privacy@youfoldr.com.

2. Information we collect

We keep collection to the minimum needed to run the service.

Account information

When you sign in we receive a verified identifier from your chosen sign in method: Sign in with Apple, Google, or a single use email link. This is typically an email address and a stable account identifier. We do not store passwords, because YouFoldr has no password. Sign in is passwordless by design.

Relationship content you create

This is the heart of the app and it belongs to you. It includes the contacts you add, the companies and roles you note, the meetings you log, the notes and transcripts you capture, and the reminders you set. You choose what to put in. We store it so the app can show it back to you across your devices.

Contacts you choose to import

If you import contacts from your device, we process only the entries you select, and only to create people inside your YouFoldr account. We ask for this permission at the moment you use the feature, never silently at launch.

Technical and diagnostic data

To keep the service reliable we process limited technical data such as app version, device type, and error diagnostics. Our error monitoring runs with personal information scrubbing switched on, so contact names, notes, transcripts, emails, and tokens are not included in error reports. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide the core service: storing your people, meetings, and reminders and syncing them to your devices.
  • To derive helpful cues, such as when you last met someone and when a reminder is due, computed from the records you create.
  • To send the notifications you have asked for, such as reminder nudges.
  • To secure your account, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • To diagnose and fix problems, and to improve reliability and performance.
  • To meet legal obligations that apply to us.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, your consent where you have given it (for example device permissions), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Voice and AI features

YouFoldr can turn something you say into a structured person, meeting, or reminder. When you use this feature, the relevant transcript is sent to our AI processing provider, OpenAI, so it can be understood and organised. We send only what the feature needs, we keep the provider key on our servers, and we do not attach identifiers that are not required for the task. Audio and transcripts receive the same care as your notes. If you prefer not to use these features, you do not have to.

5. When we share information

We share your information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. Infrastructure, database, and error monitoring providers that operate the service on our behalf, under agreements that limit them to that purpose. This includes our AI processing provider for the voice features described above.
  • Legal reasons. When we are required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
  • Business transfers. If the service is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and honour this policy.

We never sell your personal information, and we never share your relationship content for advertising.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete an item, we remove it. When you delete your account, we delete your personal content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet a legal obligation. Backups are rotated on a regular schedule.

7. How we protect it

Security and data protection come first at YouFoldr. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request is authenticated, and every query is scoped to your account, so one person can never read or change another person's data. We follow the principle of least privilege for access and permissions, use secure randomness for tokens, and keep secrets out of our source code. No system can promise perfect security, but we treat your data as sensitive at every step.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can edit and delete your content directly in the app, and manage device permissions and notifications in your device settings. To make a broader request, contact us at privacy@youfoldr.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children

YouFoldr is not directed to children under [MINIMUM AGE], and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use YouFoldr after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. How to reach us
